Today Love and Pride Jewelry modified it for use in a facebook advertisement and posted it without credit or her permission.

When you agree to sign up for Facebook, in the Terms you give them permission to use any of your photos for advertisements, this is actually completely legal. They agreed to it. Read the Terms before you sign up, or judge, they actually don’t need to give credit.

Copy and pasting yet again. That’s only if you are the owner of the image which this girl is not.

Except the person who took this image isn’t even the copyright holder for it anymore. The waiver that you sign in order to do GISHWHES states that Conglomerated Ubiquitous Multinational, LLC (aka the company behind GISHWHES) has all the rights to the image. You sign that away. The images can’t be posted publicly until after the hunt is over when GISHWHES has given permission in part so that people don’t steal items but also so that they can obtain the legal copyright.

The GISHWHES coffee table book, in which this image appears, states that no part of the book may be used or reproduced in any matter without written permission.

Even if the original artist had posted the image to Facebook (which has never been verified) it would have been after they no longer had the copyright for it. If I were to post a still from Harry Potter on my Facebook page Facebook could not sell that image because I was never allowed to grant them that copyright. Further more someone couldn’t use that promotional still of Harry Potter in an advertisement to sell their product. Warner Bros. would strike them down big time because they had the right to.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m sorry. Jarritos is a Mexican Soda, that’s FUCKING DELICIOUS. They have great branding, all their bottles have the same texture. They have 11 flavors, all of them are pretty good. But everyone has their own personal top 3, you’ll find that’s very true. They use Natural sugar, no high fructose sugar, they taste great. Did I mention they taste great? Like seriously, you want good soda? Mexican soda.
Mexican Pepsi? Mexican Pepsi is legit better than Pepsi made in America. I don’t drink Pepsi anymore but lemme tell you. Get the Mexican version if you can (Southwest in general of America texas - california should have mexican sodas) you’ll see.

HBO is digging in for The Leftovers: Vulture hears the pay cable network is moving forward with production of a pilot for the Damon Lindelof–Tom Perrotta drama, barely six months after first putting the project in development. Based on Perrotta’s 2011 novel of the same name, The Leftovers takes place in a world still reeling from a Rapture-like event three years earlier. It’ll explore what happens to those left behind. Back in June, Lindelof told us he’s been intrigued with the concept since he first read Perrotta’s novel: “The fact that there’s this reaping which occurred, and you don’t make the cut, some of us don’t feel worthy, seemed very ripe territory for a cool character drama.” No word yet on who will direct the pilot or when production will begin. If HBO decides to order a series, the network’s go-slow approach to development would indicate The Leftovers wouldn’t debut until 2014 at the earliest. Reps for HBO didn’t respond to an e-mail requesting comment on the pickup.

If you haven’t read the book, I highly recommend it.
